Transparency of Pride On Main
In the spirit of transparency we would like to share with you the background of any funds collected in support of the Pride on Main weekend celebration!
As a result of our first successful Haywood County Pride in 2024, the Haywood County Pride on Main leadership team made a collective decision to become a 501c3 nonprofit organization to ensure many Prides to come for Haywood County!
Funds received through sponsorship and vendor fees will be used as follows:
Operating Expenses
Pride On Main Weekend Celebration: (Volunteer T-shirts, Marketing and Advertising, Flyers, Live Music, Buskers, Safety and Medical Supplies, Parade Banner and Decorations).
General Website Maintenance for Pride on Main: annual subscription and domain host fee
Community Giving - Mutual Aid
Rental assistance for people experiencing unsafe housing in regards to gender and identity
Financial Support for name changes/gender marker document fees
Community Giving - Education and Youth
Donations toward relevant youth programming
Donations toward purchase of LGBTQIA centered books for the library
Community Giving - Business District and Community Safety
Cost for maintaining or helping to support the community wide Diversity Business Directory
Operating Costs for 2025
If there are remaining funds after these items they will be used as start up funds for Pride On Main 2026.
